Club Mahindra Tungi Lake Pavna - a perfect getaway

The entrance

The Warli painting at the entrance

This is an amazing place! We went there during the monsoons for 2 nights and had a great time. The spacious one bedroom apartment we stayed in had a lovely sit out with a panoramic lake view and even had cable TV!

Spa - - the Foot massage location

The location for my heavenly foot massage

The Central courtyard of the spa

While I enjoyed the spa, its huge and world class  – where I had a foot massage which was excellent – and provided a scenic lake view – the son enjoyed the children’s activity centre which included a swimming pool, an indoor games centre (table tennis anyone?)

All meals were eaten in the restaurant which has a limited a la carte menu but full buffet spread. We had the buffet – nothing to complain about but with my evolved foodie tastes was only acceptable. I don’t hold this against the resort as obviously they have to cater to all tastes from Jain Indian upwards..

The bar is slated to open soon, till then you can carry your own booze and drink in the privacy of your room.
The Activity centre (note the hill in the background)

The nearby hill looms over the resort and the resort organises treks for those who are interested.
The resort has undertaken extensive planning of trees and shrubs so it will be evergreen – was emerald green in the rains!
Going by the location I would imagine that the resort is great from monsoon season till end of winter – June to February.
Since the resort is only for Club Mahindra members and their guests – I suggest you snag a booking and go there soon – for a peaceful get away from Mumbai or Pune!
Its pretty hard to get a long weekend or even a weekend booking – they take bookings only a month in advance – so fastest finger first on the 1st of the month will do the job!

The reason I LOVED it: the resort gave us the proximity to nature – which providing the creature comforts
